Abstract | The changes in Census tracts boundaries over time represent a considerable restriction on temporal analysis based on this kind of data. This paper presents an alternative procedure to conciliate the geometry of census tracts established for different dates, as well as its associated data. For that, information extracted from satellite images is required. The proposed procedure was applied over the Census Data of São José dos Campos (SP) concerning the years 1991 and 2000. |
